A Story

Wrote this story.  Enjoy!

Sirens went off everywhere but where was Luna? Was she already a the square safe in our mothers arms? I looked everywhere for her, but people were streaming out of the building and I was running in. Finally, I found her huddled under a table in one of the rooms.
“Lu, come on we, have to get out” I said quickly. The fire was coming closer and closer. She ran to me and we sprinted to the town square and found our mother.
We watched as the building burned. Lu was crying. I was staring up at the building. It was the town hall. It was where we went to school and where most people worked.
I knew why Ly was crying. She was crying because of the library. She always went there. It was filled with books old and new. She has checked out at least 100 books, but all those books are now up in flames.
I can't stand to see everyones lives go up in flames. The hard work everyone has doneto make this city great was gone. Suddenly the fire jumps to a house and then another. The whole city is up in flames. I run. I run away to the meadow just outside the city if Tuclin. I run to the tree, the big maple tree. I sit down. It's getting hard to breathe. I am worn out from running. Then I see little Lu come up the hill with our mother by her side, but in the back ground I can see the flames. I try to shut them out, everything out, but all I can think of is the flames. The flames that I made.

Story time

Here is a story I wrote enjoy!

Where was I? What is this place? Oh ,I remember. Jail. This is the place I grew up in. See, when my mom went in jail many years ago, she was 1 month pregnant with me. She is to be in this jail for 14 years. Then 9 months later she had me and here I am. I am not like most kids who get born here, they go to an adoption place. But here I am 14 years later. Waiting to get on a boat.

It all started when my mom was 14. See, here in the S.S.Y (our wonderful country) all 14 year olds must put their name in a big glass bowl. This happens every 10 years. So, if you are one of five lucky winners, you get one wish. You can wish for anything. When my mom was 14 she was one of those lucky winners. She decided to hold on to her wish, not knowing what to wish for. Then when she was twenty three, 14 years ago, she made her wish. Her wish was to keep me here with her. Why did she do that? She could have wished she was out of jail or 4 million Sils (our money) or maybe a nice house but no, she wished me to be with her in jail for 14 years.

Now I am alone in my cell. I look at the wall, it's painted pink. When I was little they let me paint it. Over on the corner was my bookshelf. My bed is like any girls bed. Blue covers and a small stuff animal. My cell is like any 14 year olds room excepted it's a cell not a room.
I am waiting for a blue suited guard to get me. So, like my mom, I can put my name in the giant glass bowl. I wait and wait and wait for him to come but nothing happens. I try my cell door. It's unlocked. I smile. Then start to run to the door to get outside. Many other prisoners are with me now. What is going on? Where are the guards?

I burst open the door. Light is all I can see. In the courtyard are about 50 other prisoners. They are all looking at something in the sky. I look up. About 50 planes are flying towards the mainland. “Sheni's,”someone yelled. We all duck under boxes and barrels. Suddenly there is an explosion and I black out.
